4 Parks 1 Day Walt Disney World Challenge Part 1

In my previous post, I talked about how I planned my 4 Parks 1 Day Challenge; you can find this article here! In this post I will talk about how I executed this difficult task!

First I would like to make a few disclaimers about this challenge. First, to accomplish this challenge, you must be willing to walk a lot and be in hot weather. Second, you must be with a very small group of people. Lastly, you must have a park hopper pass in order to visit multiple parks on the same day.

Now that the boring part is finished, lets get to the fun part!

My alarm for Saturday morning was set for 6:30 am. I tend to get ready quick so I woke up, got dressed, grabbed a cereal bowl and was out the door at 7 am. I stayed at the Yacht Club, so the walk to the buses was very close unlike the walk to the buses at the Beach Club. This was my first time at the yacht club and it was really nice. The only thing that bothered me was that there was no quick service restaurant close by. The nearest one was at the Beach Club. I recently read a great review on the Yacht Club that covers everything so to read that click here.

I was heading to Animal Kingdom which opened at 8 am for Extra Magic Hours, so I was worried that no buses would be coming for Animal Kingdom so early. To my surprise, I only waited 4 minutes for the bus to arrive and I was on my way to Animal Kingdom by 7:10 am.

Once I arrived to Animal Kingdom, I had to wait for the 8 am opening. As soon as they opened the gates, I scanned my Magic Band and was on my way to Expedition Everest. At opening, there were quite a few high school kids and they were really making a run for it! It was actually quite dangerous. These kids were running at full speed and it was very uncomfortable for everyone else. There was one cast member at the gates reminding people to not run but after that it was a free for all and it was very dangerous.

I arrived to Expedition Everest after a few minutes and I walked right on to the ride!  I knew that Animal Kingdom was going to be a quick stop. After Expedition Everest, I made my way to Dinosaur and there was absolutely no one waiting for this ride! When I got onto this ride, there was actually only one other person in the rover with me (I did not know this person). Here is the hilarious ride picture:

Version 2.jpg

After riding Dinosaur I had hit all the rides that I planned in Animal Kingdom (I skipped the safari and the rapids because I dislike the safari and I didn’t want to get soaked on the rapids). I was walking out of the park at 8:22 am.

Next stop is Disney’s Hollywood Studios, which opens at 9 am. I was very worried about how long I would have to wait for a bus over to Hollywood Studios from Animal Kingdom, this was a huge factor into how the rest of the day played out.

Look for part 2 of the 4 Parks 1 Day Walt Disney World Challenge to see how long I had to wait for the Hollywood Studios bus, coming soon!

Can you guess how long I had to wait for the bus? Make your guesses in the comments section below!

  1. Great post!! I have not been to Animal Kingdom for such a long time (I have seriously not visited the park since six years ago), and I really want to ride Dinosaur and Everest (back then in 2010 I wasn’t into thrill rides at all), so I really want to go visit AK! I am guessing you had to wait for 7-10 minutes for the bus! I can’t wait to read the rest of this!! 🙂
